The Magic of the Seashore

The wonders of a sandy beach on a summer's eve
Savor the gentle caress of the ocean's breeze
The pitch and rhythm of the ever-moving tide
as waves clamor their arrival from the sea,
Choirs of gulls sing their ecstatic plea.

Admire the brilliant and radiant sun.
Scrutinize its deliberate descent in to the horizon.
Unlike a candle that's snuffed by the wind,
So captivated by the enormity of it's size
This fiery ball moves downward, to it's demise.

The light fades, exposing the shimmer of twilight,
reflecting the sparkle of diamonds, oh so bright
Stars radiate twinkles from the evening sky.
As it takes away the illumination of the day's hue,
the kaleidoscope of colors dissipates from view.

The eventual gloom reveals ghostly shadows in the sand,
lonely apparitions of erstwhile journeys upon the land.
Moonlight creeps ominously in to the majestic realm
while the rhythmic tide plunders on to the shore,
footprints left behind are washed away once more.

The seashore beckons to embrace all of her grandeur,
to bask in her infinite and glorious splendor.
Delight in the peaceful serenity of this regal domain.
Listen to the whispers of her quiet seduction,
a soft, enchanting voice of hypnotic affection.

Errant winds dispatch misty salt air that tingles the skin.
foamy waves churn relentlessly, as it adds to the din.
Beguiled by her legendary aria of romantic prose,
mesmerized by the exceptional beauty of this place.
Marvel in the magic of the seashore's wondrous grace.
